Zobrist Software Group, Inc., a leading eCommerce solutions provider, announces the latest iteration of its popular Smart Merchandiser platform. The new version, Smart Merchandiser for All (SM4ALL), provides several marked improvements and key new features that further enhance the user experience and streamline the online merchandising process.
Replicating successful brick-and-mortar merchandising strategies on digital platforms remains a challenge for many online retailers today. Marketers who aim to establish the brand’s identity, showcase a dynamic product catalog, and highlight the right products face several trials. For instance, keeping merchandise updated often takes inefficient manual processes and time-consuming data references.
Smart Merchandiser’s drag-and-drop ease, automated sorting and integration with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, analytics platforms, and social channels bring digital merchandising strategies to life. By employing these features, the company’s goal is to increase productivity and digital sales revenue. SM4ALL stands to enhance these benefits and more.
An Announcement of Updates for eCommerce Merchandisers
On April 30, 2024, Zobrist formally announced the release of SM4ALL and detailed the exciting new additions and improvements. The updated features aim to maintain Smart Merchandiser’s status as a leading visual eCommerce merchandising management solution.
SM4ALL aims to elevate digital visual merchandising with a seamless workflow between product information management (PIM) and eCommerce platforms. It will streamline the online merchandising process for digital marketers and enhance the user experience for end customers.
“Consumers demand the same level of attention and inspiration from brands whether they shop in the stores or at home on their devices,” explains Teresa Zobrist, Founder, President, and CEO of Zobrist Software Group. “Our goal is to provide a unified user experience for brands by bridging the gap between the physical and digital stores.”
Here is a look at the two prominent parts of this April’s announcement:
1: Support for Three New Platforms: Adobe Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Syndigo
Smart Merchandiser is the leading visual eCommerce merchandising management solution available today. The current version supports eCommerce sites running on HCL Commerce (formerly IBM WebSphere Commerce) v7/v8/V9.
With the release of SM4ALL, Smart Merchandiser will expand its support to include two additional eCommerce platforms: Adobe Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Syndigo PIM. Custom integrations will also remain available for clients who want to use Smart Merchandiser on a different platform.
Formerly known as Magento, Adobe Commerce Cloud is a popular eCommerce platform choice for many of the world’s top brands. Similarly, Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a leading eCommerce platform used by more than 10,000 businesses globally. Syndigo is a leading PIM solution that caters to both brands and manufacturers.
Zobrist said it was only a matter of time before Smart Merchandiser appeared on additional platforms. She shared, “By supporting more platforms and offering custom integration, we hope to offer all retailers an elevated digital visual merchandising experience, no matter which eCommerce solution they use.”
2: New eCommerce Merchandising Features
SM4ALL provides several exciting features that further enhance eCommerce merchandising. This includes integration with third-party data-driven apps to gather a brand’s web analytics, ratings, and social media sentiments. Merchandisers will now be able to view, rank, and sort the data to create highly customized and curated collections.
In addition, brands can designate leading colors and leading images to provide brand consistency and coherence across various product categories. Smart Merchandiser’s latest release will also feature improved capabilities for facets and filters. This allows customers to create and view highly personalized selections that are more in line with their objectives.
Finally, SM4ALL will allow cross-referencing and category linking. This lets merchandisers further enhance product discoverability and offer upselling, cross-selling, and bundle opportunities across multiple storefronts.
Zobrist also hinted at an update scheduled for July 2024: the beta release of an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, Smart Merchandiser AI (SMAI). “We’re working on integrating artificial intelligence to enhance and improve the eCommerce merchandising experience like never before,” she said. “We still have a ton of work ahead of us, but expect more updates on this revolutionary feature soon.”
